This product is great to ease the discomfort of a sore throat or quiet a barking cough (such as croup!). Remember, pure honey never goes bad. If unwanted crystallization occurs simply put in a hot water bath or in a warm sunny window.
Honey: Honey is one of nature’s miracles. It is a delicious ingredient in many foods, has antibacterial properties, works as a humectant (keeps things moist), soothes a cough or sore throat, and makes your tea about 1,000% better-and that’s just scratching the surface really! Whether you’re using it as a sweetener, or trying to kick a cough, it’s a wonderful little gift.
Elderberry: Elderberries contain natural substances called flavonoids. They seem to help reduce swelling, fight inflammation, and boost the immune system. Studies have found that elderberry eases symptoms. The benefits seem to be greatest when started within 24 to 48 hours after the symptoms begin. One study found that elderberry could cut the duration of symptoms by more than 50%! Studies have also suggested that elderberry could help with bacterial/viral infections.
Cinnamon: beyond delivering flavor, cinnamon has antiviral properties that can stave off cold, flu and other viruses. Ceylon cinnamon is generally recommended for health benefits and is the type of cinnamon I use in this delicious and healthy infused honey.

Good if used: In tea or eaten straight off the spoon. You can spread your herbal honey onto toast, drizzle over oatmeal, stir into yogurt, sweeten tea (hot or cold) and lemonade with it or simply take a teaspoon a day! This would also make a nice get well gift for someone who is under the weather. You can add a pretty tea cup and some herbal tea to complete the sweet sentiment.
*Most natural honey will eventually granulate into sugar. To liquefy, place jar in shallow pan or bowl of hot water.
